SlideShare Downloader is a free web tool that helps people keep an offline copy of public presentations. You paste a link, check a preview of every slide, and save the deck as a PDF or a PowerPoint-ready PPTX file. There is no account to create and no watermark on the result.
Why We Built It
Lecture slides, conference talks and research decks are often needed on a train, on a plane or in a classroom with poor internet. Many of them can only be read online. We wanted a quick, honest way to save a public deck for personal study, teaching and reference without sign-ups, upsells or clutter.
How It Works
- You paste a public link. Our service reads the list of public slide images for that presentation.
- You preview the slides. You see thumbnails and the slide count before saving anything.
- Your file is built on your device. The PDF or PPTX is assembled in your own browser, so we do not store your files.
What We Stand For
- Privacy first. No login, no tracking of the files you create. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
- Respect for authors. Slides belong to their authors. We only work with publicly viewable decks and we act on valid removal requests. See our DMCA & Copyright page.
- Plain language. Clear error messages, clear limits, and no exaggerated promises.
Who Is Behind This Site
SlideShare Downloader is written, tested and maintained by a small independent editorial and development team. Every guide on the site, including the safety and legal section, is written in plain language and reviewed by the team before it is published. The date at the top of each page shows when it was last reviewed.
What the Tool Can and Cannot Do
- Can: turn a public SlideShare presentation link into a PDF or PPTX file, in SD or HD quality, with a slide preview first.
- Cannot: open private, paid or login-only decks, download videos, or copy speaker notes and animations.
- Note: a downloaded PPTX is built from slide images, so text inside it is usually not editable.
Who We Build It For
Students saving lecture slides, teachers preparing offline lessons, researchers keeping reference decks, and professionals who need a copy for a flight or a meeting with weak internet. If you reuse someone else’s slides, please credit the author and follow the licence shown on the presentation page.
How We Keep Our Content Accurate
We review our guides when SlideShare changes how presentations are shown or downloaded, and we update the “Last updated” date whenever a page changes. If you spot an error, contact us and we will check it and correct confirmed mistakes.
